Guide to Joshua Tree
Joshua Tree may be my absolute favorite place. There's just something about being in the middle of the desert. Most recently, we stayed at Cabin Cabin Cabin, an adorable bohemian home created by the same couple behind the Dome Home. The space is so charming and complete with loads of vintage detail and an outdoor tub.
Start the day off by exploring the National Park. You have to pay to get in, but a pass is valid for the entire week so check it out first thing. There are hundreds of bouldering problems within the park; pack your climbing shoes!
Sunsets in the desert are magical. Drive through the park, stop to catch the sunset, and then make your way to dinner. The 29 Palms Inn has been around forever and their property still has retro flair. Dinner is decent and there's almost always live music.
If you're looking for a quick pit stop to stretch your legs, head to the Cabazon Dinosaurs. The world's largest dinosaurs definitely merit an Instagram photo.
